Scanned pics

ok, i am SO [removed] right now, since my mac won't let me put any scanned pics onto scratch. IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO STOP IT OR WHY IT HAPPENS, PLEASE TELL ME.

Re: Scanned pics

There could be a lot of reasons, like the file format.
There's an easy way around it, but only for macs.  Open it in another program you can get it to open on and press ⌘+shift+3 and your mouse will turn into a crosshair. Drag it across the image and release the mouse. If you did it right, you should hear a "click" and a file will be saved on your desktop called "Picture 1". and will be of the image that wasn't working. You can import this one.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Scanned pics

You can, on a windows, press the "Prt Scrn" button (near the F1, F2, F3, etc. buttons). It just copies the file onto the clipboard, so open up an image editor (MS Paint, Paint.NET, GIMP, Photoshop, etc) and paste it in, then save it.

Re: Scanned pics

You can put scanned pictures onto Scratch.  There's a couple ways:
1: Press control shift 4, and highlight the area you want to take a picture of (the scanned picture, in this case) and a file will appear on your desktop.  Drag the file into Pictures on Macintosh HD.  Then, when you have to choose a file, choose the scanned picture file to put it into Scratch.
2: Take the scanned picture file and drag it into Pictures on Macintosh HD.  Then, when you have to choose a file, choose the scanned picture file to put it into Scratch.
Hope that helped.   smile
