Mistleaf grabbed a mouse off of the fresh-kill pile. She tore into it and swallowed a large chunk.

With her mouth full, Mistleaf raised her head. She swallowed her piece and took off another. As she chewed, she thought about what her mother had said. Maybe she could help him change his ways. Maybe she could shed him of the burden that he carries. Maybe she could make him a true warrior. She swallowed that piece and smiled as a plan formed into her head. She gulped, her plan seemed dangerous to her health, but it was worth a try. She took another huge chunk out of the mouse, and swallowed half-way, gagging and pawing as her throat as she began to choke.
