That's been suggested many times but I doubt the Scratch team will ever do it. There are good safety arguments against having that capability. Plus, this is primarily a project sharing site, not a social site.

You could really just do that by commenting on their projects. It's not like your gonna say anything privet when your messaging, because there would have to be maximum security filters with everyone at Mit reading them to stop any unpleasantness. It would really encourage cyber bullying and the like

I am pretty certain that the ScratchR people will *not* be implementing private messages.
They might implement comments on MyStuff pages, similar to the comments on projects, since that doesn't seem to open up any new safety problems.
