Paddle2See is right in that I was expanding the thread topic rather than starting a new thread, something that I do chide people about, so shouldn't do  myself.

"Lock" is a bad term for "don't allow comments", since there are many possible meanings of "lock". 

Making experimental changes on a weekend is probably a bad idea, since that is when the kids who use the site are most likely to be on!
I see that the formatting has been restored to the old style today.

I liked the reduction in the the friends and galleries lists (though I would prefer going a step further and having 0 friends show on the MyStuff page).    Eliminating the table format for projects was a bad idea, though—I'd like to see more projects per page in the tables.
