hmm... Sounds like a long time, normally it should only take a few minutes.
Make sure you are connected to the internet properly and Look to see if your projects size is less that 10 MB. I don't know if this will help, because sometimes there are other problems, maybe a Scratch Team member can help you out if this doesn't help. 

I have the same problem, and i posted one topic like this before. When it says : Connecting...; sometimes it gets stuck there even though your project is uploaded. Have you tried to go on your account to check if its uploaded or not?
