Just ignore them, delete them and don't mention it anywhere unless people keep hassling you then report them to Scratch. They're just ninny's who are jealous that your projects are good and theirs suck

Report them using the "flag this message" rather than just deleting them. Then people who are constantly rude may get warned by the Scratch team, or even banned.

I don't get it! Why can't people just respect the hard work Scratchers put into their projects? We all try hard! Scratch is all about having fun and learning, but those kinds of people are just plain rude.Sheesh, if you don't like it then search something else and move on. I don't want to insult anybody, but it just makes me so mad.

And of course, I agree with you very much! I get spam all the time, including advertisement, merciless critism, annoying comments with no points...
You can make an anti-cheating community. And you can go around and check for spam.

I usually ignore spam comments, but sometimes I follow the link, if it sounds interesting.
I don't think spam comments should be avoided because:
1. It might discourage the spammers, which are probably beginners on Scratch and want attention.
2. I think the reciever of the spam messages should decide whether to delete it or not himself.
I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>Offline

i cant say im totally innocent, ive gotten angry on forums before. but im never rude on purpose.
at least, i dont try to be rude, occasionally someone get the wrong idea about one of my posts tho
the only times i swear is when someone has stolen work, it just makes me SO mad!
even if its not my work they've stolen
