Was scratch ever meant to do 3-d images?

Was scratch ever meant to do 3-d images? i saw a few projects saying you need 3-d glasses to view pictures that pop out at you, but none of them ever work!

You can easily do that kind of pics with enough image editing skill, using the normal picture, and shades of red and greenish blue. If they don't work they probably did it wrong - it's hard to do anyway. Here's a good example, of the "Tower of the Winds", in Ladonia:
