So, if you feel that the Verdana font is little bit boring and you want to change it, do this:
Warning: I'm not responsible for any failures caused by changing the font.
Tips on how to locate your language file are for windows users only.
If you're editing the .po file, make a backup copy first to prevent failures
1. Right-Click on the Scratch icon on your desktop and select Preferences. The window like this one will show up (of course in your language, hehe
).
2. Click the button that is marked with red, which will lead you to the Scratch directory. Then, go to the locale directory.
3. To change font in your own language, you'll need to edit your language's PO file (open it in Notepad, I'm using Notepad ++). BUT: English language doesn't support that. You'll have to copy Scratch.pot.
Rename it to en-hacked.po and do this edit:
Edit:Mac users, in order to get it working, don't change the line under "Win-Font". Change the line under "Mac-Font" instead. Linux users, change the line under "Linux-Font". I hope it's clear
4. Then, save the file, restart Scratch and open Languages menu. This will appear:
5. Change to this "language", and look:
Font is changed to Agency FB!
For other languages, simply change the Verdana to font that you prefer, below is Polish language set to Courier.

I hope this will help!

It works for Mac, just instead of changing the line below "Win-Font", change the line below "Mac-Font" with your favourite font.

Well, I had to fight Vista a bit. First, I had to change my folder options so that extensions were not hidden so that I could rename the .POT file to .PO. Then, I found that Notepad refused to write to the Scratch directory. Rather than mess with the file permissions, I copied the .PO file to the desktop, made the changes there and then copied the file back. Vista complained about the file copies but let me proceed with them.
Ultimately, I was successful and now I have a version of Scratch in the Jokerman font!
