*sigh* How can there be hackers? What happened to them?

Scratch is too secure for a regular hacker. And a professional hacker won't bother hacking a kids' website.
Your friends probably had an easy to guess password or someone else accessed their account (ex: they logged on a public computer and forgot to log off).

Hackers usually hack people bank accounts and stuff, not kid's websites. Maybe your friend just forgot their password, or maybe it was easy to guess. But I doubt anyone would actually hack a scratch account. Hacking is using electronic means or special programs to gain access to things, would anyone really do that with scratch?

You can't hack this website, they probably guessed or saw the password. If you have your account hacked just email the scratch team and they can reset it for you.

Eh, out of all of us, archmage is the most likely because he is the only one with enough skill to be able to do it.

Here are some tips on how to NOT get hacked.
Type some random letters into microsoft word
Save it
Change your password to those random letters
Every time you log in, copy and paste the password!

Meh, I like to use the forever-logged-on method or the 1337 method.

I have a good password, but there are programs that let you find out people's passwords. Since so many people's accounts were getting messed up in the past few days, I'm thinking of making my password something that's very long, and VERY complicated. But I might change it back after everything on Scratch cools down...

Hmmmm, I'm not really a pro at computers, but I don't think that saving your pass on your computer can ever be secure. It is safest when it's stored in the head.

Yup. ANYBODY can read those files, but I'm the only one who uses my laptop. I change my email password alot, because I store my passwords to EVERYTHING there. I often use longer, harder passwords for my email. But if my email is hacked, my everything is revieled. T.T And readers: DO NOT TRY TO HACK MY EMAIL, you don't even know my email adress......>.>
