Saving on my Mac
Hi
My family just bought a mac and since i downloaded scratch onto it it does not let me save it says:
Save failed. Folder may be locked or read only.
Any help i will be happy but i will keep on trying. Thx

its really simple. on the sidebar of the window you get to save, there are different places. One of them says desktop. click on that, and you can save it there.

You can also use the Finder to change the permissions on the folder. For reasons I don't understand, the Mac release of Scratch comes with folders set to be read-only.
Perhaps the best thing to do is to create a folder in your Documents directory to save your projects in. That way you won't have to worry about the read-only folders and you won't lose anything if you delete the Scratch directories in an update.

ya, i have a folder called "scratch stuff" and thats what i keep all of my projects in
