Export the sprite?

Tried that, it doesn't do it in an openable picture.

There is a difference between exporting a sprite and exporting the costume images of the sprite.

To edit the sprite image in MS Paint (or any image editor), you will need to export the costume images, which is done by right-clicking on the costume thumbnail of the sprites located under that sprite's costume tab. When done editing, you can then import the images back into the sprite.

Here is a guide:
Right click on the sprite and click export this costume.

Save it to a place you can remember

Open a MS paint document and click File, Open

Open the sprite you saved.

You should see that sprite in MS paint ready for editing!
