Hello!
This is the official forum post for my Scratch Police team. If you are in the Scratch Police, you can report projects that are inappropriate here. If you aren't in the Scratch Police, and you have a problem, (like cyber-bullying, or inappropriate comments/ projects) you can let the team know here, and the force will flag inappropriate comments, and projects.
Remember- If you're not sure if something is appropriate, read the Scratch Terms of Use. (http://scratch.mit.edu/terms)
The official Scratch Police gallery: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/51610
Thanks!

Yes, anyone can, but it takes a while before enough people flag a project that's inappropriate for it to be removed. When we see a project that is innappropriate, we all flag it, so it gets removed quickly. It's nice this way, so that other users don't have to see the inappropriate projects!
Hope that helped you!

OOOOHHHHHHHHH. Now I get it. Because sometimes I see that the POLICE are the ones bullying... I still don't get that part...

Things like this have been tried and each time have failed

The police just speed up the flagging process. But, it says in the rules you can't gang up on other scratchers.

It seems people are bullying the Scratch Police, which is incredibly ironic, seeing as they are supposed to stop it.

I'm just saying way before most of you started scratch there was a problem with "scratch police" resulting in several people getting banned.

Taken from here.

Folks, when you flag a project, please don't mention it here in the Forums. When you flag something it automatically sends a message to the Scratch Team and they will review the project. Telling people here in the forums what you have flagged is just going to give free advertising to a project that you don't think people should see, right? Thanks.
I am sorry, but due to the subject nature of this thread, I feel cannot leave this thread open. I am going to have to close this thread.

Seems like there are some misconceptions about how flagging and moderation work on the Scratch community, so I thought I'd post some links to more information.
Check out the inappropriate content section of the Scratch website FAQ here:
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Support/FAQ/Scratch_Website_FAQ#Reporting
In addition, see the Blocks on User Accounts FAQ here:
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Blocks_on_User_Accounts
The second link contains information explaining how censoring projects works.
In general, we'd prefer that Scratchers did not join together to flag projects as a group. We review every project that is flagged, so all it takes is one flag to bring it to our attention.
Scratch On!
