A space rpg with different bosses (other planets) try to dominate the galaxies, use different attacks, ect. You should also have a two planer option. (i have a soft spot for space games!)

how about a stick figure game where you go around shoot monsters and then vs bosses and stuff. but make it like a multi directional scroller

Maybe some thing like lunar lander but more advanced with enemies shooting at you at some levels.

Try a game for a sport, I just made a skateboarding game, so you could do any sport you want. Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey would be pretty hard, but any single player, or two player sport would be awesome!
