I have noticed that users have been making alot of stop-animations, and I thought of an idea:
maybe we could make it so that when your importing a sprite, you could import a video file, and all of the videos frames, would import as costumes. And maybe even the audio for the movie could import as a sound?

If someone imported a movie, it would have every frame of that movie, and every second is a frame, a movie would be WAY to large file, and the sound would be as well.

You cant take a picture of sound. So there would be no sound.

There are some applications that allow you to convert a video to an animated GIF creating 1 image per frame or other options. You can search in Google for MPEG to GIF converter.

I would love to be able to play a video inside scratch. Maybe you could have a new block to place on the screen which would reference an external file (maybe on youtube or the internet) so you could embed a video into scratch without actually copying the file. Then we could have even better multimedia applications in Scratch.
