Sonic The Hedgehog 4

I have an idea for Sonic the hedgehog 4. 2D side scrolling with the characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Ristar, and a made up Sonic character named Starlux The Hedgehog.
IT takes off where Sonic & Knuckles left off, when Death Egg crashed, yet again. Robotnik unleashed his latest creation hidden in Death Egg for years...bomb bots! You must defeat all of the bomb bots to keep Mobius from exploding!
With Sonic's speed, Tails' Flying, Knuckles power, Shadow's Teleporting and Chaos Emerald Power, Ristars long power-full arms, and Starlux's control of weather and traveling through time, you have the perfect team!
P.S. Is there anywhere I can contact SEGA about making a fan game?
Starlux is right here, with Sonic and an Emerald.

I think it sounds alright, but dont you think there are enough sonic characters without making up more?
A List of all I can think of off the top of my head:
-Sonic -Shadow -Silver -Tails -Knuckles -Cream -Amy -Big -Vector -Espeo -Charmy -Blaze -Rouge -Omega -Chaos -Dr. Eggman -Jet -Storm
Too many already, seriously, you dont need anymore.

I hate half of those characters, and in my mind, they are not there. Originally, SEGA would add one new character every time. (Sonic 1 has Sonic, 2 adds Tails, 3 adds Knuckles, *skippity skip skip* Sonic Adventure 2 has Shadow.
I hate: Silver, Cream, Omega, Jet, Storm. Oh, and Vector, Espeo, Charmy, Amy, Big, and Shadow have been out for more than a decade.
