After making a few Scratch projects, I decided to move on to something with actual code, instead of blocks. After some searching, I found SiMPLE ( http://www.simplecodeworks.com/website.html ), a simple language. This is a good stepping point from Scratch to C/C++ because some of the functions are the same. You can program in DOS Text, DOS VGA mode, and I believe Win32 GUI, sorry, no mac support
. Hope this helps some of you!

Umm.. not really, there is a thing called "Xcode" maybe you havent heard of it because your a pc user, macs are the only thing that can make and distribute iphone apps, anyways, the new macs have a thing called "boot camp" which allows you to go into windows... macs are eco-friendly, long lasting, computers... developer tools are free and were developed well(unlike windows). Macs are all made by the same company(less failures), macs have better graphics, tools, software, and more... that sums up a mac

I seriously think about having a mac... But no, I'm going to have mostly Linux, and Windows somehow to run Flash.
Back on topic, I'm wondering what next too. Maybe I'll stay on Flash, or learn Ruby.

yeah so what?
1. my point is still valid
2. if macs are so awsome then why are PCs more popular and always will be?

Macs are awesome but underappreciated, because everyone wants to stay with the old unreliable PCs.
You can't beat Mac's looks either.
For example, I have a MacBook. Shell carved out o a block of aluminum, 5 hour battery charge, multi-touch trackpad, magnetic power cord that will come out of the charging slot when you apply pressure to it so it won't pull the computer off the table when you trip over the cord.
Does any PC have these things?
Also, we have an iMac that is 5 years old and still running absolutely perfectly. It's a little slow, but that's to be expected in such an old computer.
I know someone that has an Apple 2e. It still works!
By the way, highlight my post.

Not really - Linux is being developed by really big amount of developers - for example Apple programmers in their free time. Also, there's a multitude of programs ported to Linux, or equivallents, absolutely free. And there is WINE which lets you run almost every program for Windows on Linux.
Linux is very customizable - just look at some of screenshots. Still want Mac? Use PC with Linux!

Same with mac, quote from my other post: "the new macs have a thing called "boot camp" which allows you to go into windows"
linux is open source, so if it did get really big, you might want to say hello to VIRUS...
also linux does not have nearly as many apps and stuff, plus you cant make iPhone apps...

I love Linux and Macs! I run Linux in VMWare Fusion on my Mac.

Linux is great, but i don't think it's ready for mainstream use. It is very hard to troubleshoot unless our a computer technician of sorts. (I know, my dad is a professor teaching a class on fedora/red hat linux). BTW, there's WINE for mac too, it's called crossover. Not free but an example I'm sure somewhere there's a free port. Anyway, Even that isn't very reliable. I know, i use it everyday. Oh, and you can run linux on a mac. That's what i'm doing. I'm running Fedora 11, Windows and Leopard on my macbook. Runs nice and fast too.

I run it off a partition on my hard drive. Like boot camp. A lot faster than virtual machines, but it takes longer to change os. I also run it in Parallels.

I agree, Techy.
agree with him, it doesn't matter. what I said is true, they arent mac compatible
they have to use some program to trick the windows compatible programs.

Its not a "Trick", It's a virtual version of windows running the program, unless you use boot camp, which means your actually running windows on mac hardware
EDIT: By the same token, Windows are incompatible with mac programs. So that MUST mean that windows suck, caues it can't run cool and VIRUS FREE, NO-COST SOFTWARE, such as Darwiin remote, Flygesture, Motion Jwii, Enigma Simulator (By terry Long), and Pac the Man X?

As for the topic at hand, anyway, It looks an awful lot like virusware. I will have to scan it.

There are distributions like Ubuntu or openSUSE, where you really don't have to go to console or text files, and everything is "click-on-able".

yes its true that they arent mac compatible but that doesnt mean they should be... most of them are junk and macs dont need them since we have xcode, you can make scripting programs all the way to C/C++/Objective-C/Objective-C++ this include iphone apps, java apps, even openGL/openGL ES and OpenAl... so, thats why macs dont need all this stuff, Apple already made it.
