Hello! I have a question: How do you make a simulation, and what is that?
I have been on scratch for more than 3 months, but I STILL dont know what they are, or how you all make them, and I want to, but I dont know how... T.T
Really. What is a simulation? I see them, but... I dont fully understand... how DO you make them? I have no clue... Please tell me... Thank you, and... Scratch On!

Simulations are, basically, simulating something that occurs. Like there are some simulations of gravity that people can observe and learn more about that way. Something like that. That description isn't very good, but I hope it helps... a little...

Thank you. That helped, a little.

Wow, it did? That was a really bad explanation though... also, you can look in the sample folder, simulation, and look at those.

A simulation could be as simple as a game where you drive a car realisticly, or as advanced as a model of the Solar System.

A simulation is sort-of an example of something that would really happen—but it doesn't.
It isn't always in a Scratch Project—for example, there are Simulations for Astronaughts in training—it seems-like they are going-into outer-space—but they are really still on earth.
Another example is a Flight Simulation.
They can be as simple as a small video-game to a room-like machine that will move as if you were actually on an airplane.
Simulations are good to help people who training for the real thing.
Anyways, there are many kinds of Simulations—basically, it is an example of something that could happen or is happenning, but it really isn't it, if you know what I mean.
Sorry—I don't think this was much help, but it might be, I'm just not very good at explaining things, sometimes.

Basically, a simulation is something that actually happens, and which you are making happen within your game. Take the popular Sims series, for example. (Sims is short for Simulation.) You're simulating life within that game. Same with SimCity, where you're simulating a city, etc.

What kind of simulator?

Idk. Like, one of those games where you raise and breed fish and sell them, and there is a shop and stuf. lol.
