"Let's face it Crayons," Markers meowed, "if we listened to YOU, we'd both be dead." She perked her ears; she heard the soft rumble of wave do a hill. "There's a river near by, let's go check it out," she meowed, heading over without checking to see if her sister was coming.

Markers sniffed the air nearby. "There's fish in the water. Let's see if we can catch a fish," the young cat meowed, and walked over to the water. She looked down in the water, waiting for a fish to come by. As soon as one did, she struck her paw into the water, but missed the fish. "Foxdung!" she hissed.

Taffy jumped into the water and managed to catch a fish this time. She sat down on the grass proudly and began to groom herself, but was distracted by a noise. Taffy looked up and saw the two cats. "Hey, who are you?" she asked, padding up to the two she-cats and still holding the catch in her mouth.

Stealthfur went over to a river and put his paw in. It was cold. He wished he could catch fish...wait. How hard could it be? He waitedfor a fish to come by.

Markers looked over and saw her sister with a fish in her mouth. "Good job," she muttered and struck her paw into the water, and her claw caught on a freshwater plant. She fell in, and for a scary moment, she sank into the water. Then a current pushed her up into the surface and she breathed in the soft air.

Stealthfur saw one fish and reached out his paw and missed. He tried again,failing. Then he started to use strategy. He placed his paws above the water,and when a fish came he closed his paws together. He fish started to wriggle out of hand...

It flipped into the water when stealthfur tried to grab it he fell under the water. His head plunged in and he searched for a way to land. it wasn't super deep, but drop offs could be common.
