Yeah... I just have extremely poor memory for faces, I started reading at the age of 2.5 (please believe me on this, even though nobody else does), and sometimes I can't determine people's genders (like if they're driving past me in the car so I can't see them well). So I'm not Joe Average.

Autism is a brain development disorder characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior.
They have a prediciltion for ordered patterns, repetitive actions, logical sequences and can become focused upon a repetative task.
Their weakness is in imagination - they can be very literal, not understanding nuances of speech.
Once the idea is in place, there is nothing stopping an Autistic child becoming a good, or even a great, Scratcher as programing is basically about logical sequencing.
In fact, it might be a very good way for somebody who find human interaction difficult to expand their ability to communicate. Could well be worth doing some research in that area...

.. It's something that affects your social growth and inhibits social behavior.
Wikipedia says a symptom is repetitively stacking up objects.
So that means that the inventor of lego is autistic :?
what's the big deal really?
You make it sound terrible what's happening.
But I never knew.
Excessive use of Cryptophasia?
nvm. im not a Autistic nazi

Autistic people have a great memory. they can rememember the slightest details about anything. I had an autistic kid in my class last year, and he wouldnt really pay attention too much, but he would have a huge folder with pictures of actors. He would take out the folder every time we had class, and he would write who the actor was, and every movie that they played in. He did the same with actresses too! pretty amazing if you ask me.

I prefer being a normal person, I don't need a super memory or straight As, because I already have them!! no seriously I am really good at history, and all my other subjects

Alright, Let's get two things straight:
1) Autism is a neurological disorder. Yes, it can be very mild. But it can also impair judgement to the point that a person stricken with it cannot function on their own. I have known a number of people with it, and you know what? A cure would really help them. And those billboards are one good way to help find a cure.
2) It is scientifically proven that there is a difference in not only intelligence, but also physical prowess, etc, between the races. So your little racism analogy kind of is botched there. I think that there should be segregation. Yes, I actually did just say that. However, not between races, sexes, etc, but based on individual testing. Ie: there is a class for those labeled 'genius' (IQ >140) for above average (100-139) below average (70-99) and * (<70). BTW, those are also scientifically proven facts, and accepted terms for classifying someone as genius, *, etc. But to give you an example, I learned next to nought in my first 8 years of schooling, and then actually started learning when I was transferred to the gifted program in grade 7. Proof that that sort of system does work.

This is an extra piece of the chromosome 21. It also varies in seriousness, and causes a number of symptoms, most notably brain damage.

uh oh... I'm really close to being below average
only 18 points away
and since no one has called my bluff, I was lying about reading at age 15
I read Harry Potter 2 in a day back in 2nd grade

That science you just mentioned was completely biased, before the new research. The new research actually shows NO difference except mentally in Autistics. I should know, cuz I'm an Autistic. SEGREGATION NEVER WORKS. In fact, that's the main reason for those civil rights movements. And all those "finding a cure" billboards are supposed scare the bejeebies out of parents. In fact, the only thing an Autistic needs is early intervention. Putting an Autistic in Special ED only makes the kid *. Put him in Regular ED, with an Aide. If he does well, put him in the Gifted classes, with an Aide. If the kid doesnt need an Aide anymore, then the Aide would just go to another kid and repeat the process. I unfortunatly had to get to the Gifted classes, the HARD WAY. Starting with Special ED, all because I was Autistic. That was the ONLY reason. I had excellant grades, excellant behavior, little to no signs of Autism, except for the HUUUUUGE imagination. But I broke the tracking system to get into Regular ED and I broke it again into the Gifted classes.

first of all NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE: even if u up there happen to be autistic, you could not make a speech like that. its not bias. its the truth i did a monkleyload of research and i know im rite. mabye you have a lite form of autism but you are not FULLY AUTISTIC. ok? mabye u just think ur autistic becuz ur different but ur not. or mabye ur just saying u are. but what ur saying is false, i have nuthing against autistic people and i think them being secribed as * is also completely insane but im sorry to say that im right.

Nobody's talking about full autism. We're talking about mild forms in Scratchers. And I'm assuming that some of your research is outdated - autistic people generally have problems with FACE-TO-FACE communication. Posting on a forum under a pseudonym (okay, username) wouldn't be as big of a problem (this is a guess based on what I know about autism).
BTW, a lot of autistics are super smart in other areas. I see it as a re-arrangement of priorities. I myself have two things that nobody ever believes (yes, that irks me):
- Learned to read at age 2 1/2
- IQ of 153
Be skeptical if you must. But remember that differences aren't a reason to cry "*".
