Really, there will never be concrete proof of one of these views is the absolute truth.

My view:
Let people believe what they want to. If they disagree, too bad for them.

Religion is always going to be a large debate around any forum. The only thing I've found is that the Atheists are the ones who spend more time with their arguments because their view is not as much a belief as it is a lack of one. Religious people get angry because the only thing the really have to defend themselves is a book or a set of principles. Don't get me wrong, using the only real written history from a certain time to base beliefs off of is fine. Believe history as you see it fit.

The best viewpoint I've found is being completely indifferent. Yes, this also means not believing in God or multiple lives, but only a truly nice person will be so without the threat of eternal punishment or a worse next life if they don't.

A lot of people are actually inspired by religion.    Besides, religion isn't all about active external effects. It actually has quite a strong passive effect. In some way it represents our culture and our subconscious selves.

I don't affiliate, organized religion is one of the worst creations of mankind. I mean look! the middle east is destroying itself because of it. I ideals originally of all where good, be peaceful, respect your others, but then how did that translate into people suicide bombing???
