Start with downloading and looking a project , tweaking them a little to learn how the code works.
The make your first game - a simple shooter, or click on game would be best.
Or if you are more into stories - I'd start piecing together a short story

I personally suggest first building short games using simple movement and broadcast blocks, slowly working your way up to variables. Or, if you've programmed before, go right into variables and more advanced techniques that scratch offers.
Just my two cents, other people on these forums most likely know better than I do.
