Importing mp3 file help WANTED!!!
Does anybody know how to import an mp3 file to a project? I have the music on my computer, but I don't how to put it in a project.

Under "Sounds" try the "Import" button. If the format of the sound file is not one that Scratch understands, try using a sound editing program (like Audacity) to change the format.

where do you get sound editing programs? can you download them from the internet?

yes you just search it on the internet, (dont know any links) but the easiest way for mp3 is to rip it off of a music disc. to change the adio file you go to your music ripping options. (just right click the ripping option on your media player and hit options) then it should say what music file you want your music to be ripped to.
note; this is only for windows i cant help with mac.

Audacity (one of the free sound editing programs) is available for both Mac and Windows.
Look for the download on the web.

Kevin - I've tried audacity, it's really worth to try out! Audacity needs a special plugin (the win version does). Can you change audio settings for the exported file? The onlyt thing i can find is export to ... in the file menu...

My version of Audacity (on Mac OS X) allows export as MP3, WAV, and Ogg Vorbis.
