Racism vs Autism.

You know, all these billboards/commercials ganging against people with Autism makes me ticked. Especially when they put in an anti-government-healthcare commercial. That is going WAY TOO FAR! Autistics are NOT * or useless or need to be cured. In a majority, people with Autism is just like anyone else! In fact, some people speculate Einstein was Autistic!

SERIOUSLY! STOP PUTTING AUTISTICS AS THE MOST USELESS, WEAK, AND STUPID! IT IS AS RACIST AS SEGREGATION! JUST A FEW MORE STEPS AND THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS WILL BE LIKE NAZIS TOWARDS AUTISTICS!

Autism is a "disorder" that has not too many symptoms. You know that kid in class who acts weirdly and believes almost what any popular kid say is "cool"? That's supposedly an Autistic.

People are so afraid, they're actually trying to look for a "cure" when it is proven/speculated that a lot of the world's most talented people are/were Autistic! Such as Einstein, Bill Gates and others.

Heck, they've even made Special ED to contain Autistics and similar (only 1/10 kids need to be there)

I am autistic, and I get straight As, and play video games. I think people with autisim are counted out, and misjudged. It just makes me sick.

autism is infact a disorder, which makes people be a little bit in their own world and mabye even a little slow... but i will agree they are regular people. and no americans are not nazis towards autism, being a nazi is waaay different then what you guys think it is anyways, coming from germany i can tell u considering yourselves a nazi is going overboard becuase nazis are crasy, terrible people.

I'm certainly not an expert on autism...but I do know that the condition comes in a spectrum, as do many mental conditions.  There are high-functioning autistics who only show slight autistic tendencies and can function normally in day-to-day life at one end of the spectrum and people who refuse all communicate at the other end of the spectrum.  So there certainly can be autistic people on Scratch.

My behavior several years ago resembled that of an autistic, I don't think I have the disorder though, because I know the reason why I behaved like that. ^_^

I care for people with Autism. My friends brother is badly autistic and my other friend is mildly autistic. So i'm not one of Austim-Racist Nazis.

it's kinda hard to describe...you see...there are a bunch of different kinds of autism, each of them do different things with your brain. Just because you have autism doesn't mean your stupid, it means you think different. Well, some cases are different than others.

All schools think Autism needs to be away from everyone else, and soon enough, the kids in special ed don't learn enough. Almost everything simple is taught in 5th grade, and 3rd grade stuff is taught in 8th grade, just to keep kids in Special ED! I should know, I used to be in Special ED! My mom says it's a tracking system, to keep kids where they are and stay where they are. I remember the time switching to Regular ED... then getting bored of it and sleeping through it (although, don't blame boredom for that completely, an allergy medication was also involved) and then the teacher put me in Mainstream for GATE.
