Why is the forum using old Pun-BB? The new standard is vBulletin. I think that the Scratch Team should consider switching the forum to vB. It has so much more flexibility.

Re: forum

vBulletin is expensive, proprietary software, phpBB3 is open source, highly customizable and supports sub-forums.
phpBB3 meets those "standards".

Re: forum

Yes, I'm using phpBB here on my forums. Easy to administrate, customizing, has great plug-in library,... It reminds me about a CMS-selection thread, where one user said "It's curious that this software is comparable, but commercials are very expensive, and other are just free".
