Lately the bottom three list of the Scratch front page is covered
with picture things like drawings of cats , anthros and , tokis.
It seems like the same users and the same things are appearing
over and over again.
Me , and some of my friends have come up with a solution to
the lack of diversity on the front page.
When you share a project , you have to catagorize it.
On Youtube , videos are catagorized and tagged. This will introduce
a new way to organizing Scratch projects.
Catagorize while your about to share your project.
The front page will look something like this..
As you can see it is catagorized. Instead of three Top
loved/viewed as it always has , it would show the first top
__________ project for each catagory. The list would display
a random catagory every time the page is loaded.
When the ''see more'' button is clicked , it would display the
top __________ projects from the other categorys. The
top loved ''Cat'' or ''Anthro'' projects would probaly show
up as top loved Animation or Art.
The only problem I found with the system is how do we
catagorize the 475,000 projects already uploaded? Maybe
the scratch team could send out a message to all users
to catagorize their projects.
Post a reply and tell me what you think.
