2.0 is coming and there's some mixed feelings on it.
What will you plan to do after the update? I'll make 1.4 games and upload them onto my website. I'll stay on the forums but I'll barely ever upload any 2.0 things. It's just too hard to use.

Might stay for making simpler games, or might redownload 1.4 and use it. But 2.0 has more features, like... Not really anything important? I guess cloning is cool, but as scratch progresses, it will be harder to predict the outcomes of more complex features. Like clone priorities, for example.

Hyperbola-It's still 1.4! I read your siggy!
But yeah. I'll miss 1.4 big time. And be majorly bored for 3 days. I'll be pretty sad, but hey! At least Scratch isn't shutting down forever!

i'll still be here on the forums and posting strange projects occasionally

You can use 1.4 to upload to 2.0 by sharing it like you would to the 1.4 site.

I'm probably going to be using 1.4 still as I always do, but use 2.0 to implement some cool stuff.

In my time on Scratch, I've noticed that I started spending more time on the forums and less time making projects. However, 2.0 has given me a boost: now I really want to make some new projects! So, it's not really affecting me much. I'll miss 1.4, but the future looks bright for Scratch.

I completely agree. Now with online cloud variables, projects have become so much better!

Be optimistic!
I'm releasing a paint program when 2.0 is released. I just finished it.

Are we supposed to reply to this?

I'm definitely staying on the forums. I find these forums more entertaining than my own forums.
I might make some projects too when I get some inspiration.

I'll stay on the forums (more sporadically visiting, probably though) and make more projects but still not like rapid output!

I'm probably not gonna put out anything interesting till the downloadable version comes out or I get inspired or something, but I should be active on the forums.

I'm probably gonna be sticking around a lot during the few days after the update is done, looking for bugs, replying to comments and questions, and so on. Then I'm gonna go back to doing some projects on 2.0, particularly kick-starting my plushie animation that I haven't continued for such a long time! ^^

After the update, it would be worth posting in the forums about which 2.0 features are no very intuitive. We'll still be adding updates when the beta is released.

I'll update some of my games to add multiplayer features (if cloud lists come back and restrictions are lifted), and also make new games.

I'm going to finish a 3-game series (SuperJetPacker+) using 1.4 for sense of completion, then later remake it using 2.0 once I'm more familiar with it.

The main problems for is the fact that Norton hates nearly everything on 2.0 unless I whitelist all the many image hosts, flash servers and stuff that 2.0 uses that 1.4 didn't. Secondly, vector graphics are a nightmare to use. It's not possible to 'paint' unless you want a shape. I feel like 1.4's 16 bit-style graphics were great as you could edit easily and add detail. I know that if I miss out on 2.0 to stick by my good old loyal 1.4 - I'll miss out on the good things on 2.0, like larger storage space and cloud data.
It's really hard to choose.
