Hello everybody,

It gives me the opportunity just to thank everybody here for making Scratch 1.4 so wonderful. As of tomorrow the site will be defunct in preperation for Scratch 2.0, and I wanted to create a place where you can discuss your memories of the old site and if you are leaving us with Scratch 1.4, say your goodbyes.

Thank you everybody for making this website so special for many years, and I hope to see you when the new era begins.

ow man... this is bad, why change the site layout, this one is great!
the new ones...just....not original and strange. It is fact that i'm leaving scratch when 2.0 comes out. Its just not right anymore..

I have no idea how I'm going to survive the next few days tongue Scratch 2.0 is amazing. I know a lot of people don't like it, but it still has all the features of the old Scratch, and if you want you can still upload from Scratch 1.4.

A lot of people just do not like change. I personally hate change, but I am going to play along, because I realise the effort and technology that has gone into the site over the years. Thank you for scratching with us big_smile

I agree totally. You can still use the old software with the new site. If this was not the case we would have much less Scratchers by the 9th May.
Anyway guys, keep the posts coming and tell us all about your memories!

-sigh- So many memories... I hate seeing this site go. I'm probably gonna make a new account for 2.0. But I'm still disappointed. I wish they could archive this site into maybe 1.4.scratch.mit.edu. That'd help.

It couldn't have the "1.4" in it.

I'm personally not excited for this change at all. I might just quit when it comes.

I honestly don't like 2.0 right now. Which is weird, considering I was pretty excited for it. I'm sure that I'll get used to it overtime, though.

I feel like that to. But I won't give up on the language though, I might make some longer length games and still go on the forums.

I honestly really don't like 2.0. I'm not making projects on the 1.4 website anymore. I'm gonna make a new account and only post 2.0 projects sometimes. I'm gonna make a lot of 1.3 projects (yes, I STILL use 1.3.) but I probably won't be on as much because 2.0 is just confusing. My new account will be PinkiePie55, or if that's taken, PonyPoki. See you guys. sad

2.0 was just a step to far. Maybe the large time between 1.4 and 2.0 could be used for smaller versions (1.5, 1.6 etc.) that would slowly let the Scratchers get used to 2.0, I just feel that it's step forward too much for me to get used to.

Wow, I just can't believe that it's the final day of Scratch 1.4. sad But I do look forward to 2.0. It will probably just take a while to get used to.

You all will get used to the 2.0 website and editor, I'm sure. 2.0 is an huge improvement over the 1.x versions - having a more social website and a far more powerful editor with new features - and the awkward transition period will be totally worth it. Things gotta change for good, guys. c:

I personally love 2.0. It's a very nice change to the whole look and feel of scratch. smile

You don't need a new account, your old 1.4 account carries over to 2.0.

I am really sad that Scratch 1.4 is going away. I have no clue how to use Scratch 2.0 even though I've tried, but to fail, so expect no more projects sad
