I think many would agree, Valve has made (or used) many great pieces of music for both games. Discuss your favorites here!
This is a no put-down zone. Respect everyone's opinion here, be you turret, core, follower of Wheatley, follower of GLaDOS or anything else.
Personally, I love techno music, and Valve has made amazing pieces for these (or have sparked the inspiration for some, depending on which). The only ones I don't really like are the Robot Waiting Room ones and most of the other slow ones.
My favorites (not in any particular order) are:
- Reconstructing Science
- Wheatley's Science
- Bombs for Throwing at You
- Cara Mia Addio
- Want You Gone
- Robots FTW
- An Accent Beyond
- Machiavellian Bach (the one that sounds like old video game graveyard music)
- Not a Moron (don't know the name)
Anyway, share your thoughts, and NO COMBUSTIBLE LEMONS. I've got my optic on you...

I like most of Portal 2's OST, but the song I'd like to mention is "9,000 Degrees Kelvin" from the first game. It is really tense and fits the situation at hand.

Valve didn't really make the most memorable songs from Portal though. It was Jonathan Coulton and the actress of GlaDOS!

Yeah, this is specifically for Portal.
@soupoftomato -- Well, it depends. While Want You Gone, Cara Mia Addio and bothe versions of Still Alive are pretty good, Valve has also made really good music, such as Bombs for Throwing at You, 9000 Degrees Kelvin, An Accent Beyond, Reconstructing More Science, etc.

Then I think you should change that title to just "Portal and Portal 2 Music".

Yeah, I really like both "Still Alive" and "Want You Gone" (and the versions on Artificial Heart are superb).

I really like Portal 2's Last Boss themes, and the ones related to Wheatley.
Wheatley Science
The Part Where He Kills You
Bombs for Throwing at You
Your Precious Moon
I also enjoy the Excursion Funnel sound. It makes me happy. :3
