There is a program called craft studio.
If you pay for the full version and get premium membership, then you can use blocks to program instead of typing in lua. And its 3d.
Scratch not being 3d because its impossible isn't legit. The guy who made craft studio I think didn't have the experience you guys do. I think MIT can make something better.
I have an idea for a new programming language. I want to call it "easy script."
Still looking for a name for it though.
The idea can be explained like this.
Key w (hold)= (direct) 3d grid z+1 per 0.001 sec
Key Esc=(menuOp) (pause menu) (show) (menuOp) (options group "pause") (show/activate).
Like my idea?

YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN CRAFT STUDIO HAVE YOU?
You program with blocks of code, or type out the lua. If you buy it, they let you use the blocks to program. It is a 3d engine, and you can make 3d games with it. Scratch is not very different at all. You can do lots of things with craft studio. Scratch has the potential to do the same, or even more. Star logo tng is complicated, but scratch isn't.
Don't say that scratch can never be 3d. It is possible for it to be 3d.
oh, here is the link to craft studio. This program can humiliate MIT, so we need a 3d version of scratch.

Not possible =/= won't happen
It can happen, but it won't happen.

Like everyone said, this would make Scratch hard. Think of someone who's never made a game before, and you're all like "try dragging the box 3 units forward!"
Also, it would take a lot of time as the Scratch team has to work/study, while élysée or the craft studio guy can work on this full time.
(If you really want Scratch to be like craft studio, why not just buy craft studio?)
