"Lots" is a relatively low number, but I wouldn't mind if you did set it offline.

That would involve something like AuthMe, which is a pain for logging on/doing a LP on the server when it crashes.

AuthMe's not such a pain once you get used to it. Plus it prevents "you logged in from another location" messages.

if the server is offline,nobody can join,and no-scratchers wont appreciate it.

You can't really think we're that stupid - he means in offline mode, which allows people to join without buying the game. He should buy the game though, I'll agree with you there.

I know quite a few people who don't have minecraft accounts but find a friend to lend them their account if they don't use it anymore. It's quite worth it. smile

That's not a very nice thing to say - "wasted" and "useless" are rather charged words implying bad judgement on the part of the purchaser. How he chooses to spend his money is up to him.
