b) how does publishing songs on itunes increase their quality?

I am planning on two entries.

1. An ambient/trance song, full length.
2. An aphex twin-style 50 second song.

Ok here's an example

1.Use a guitar
2.Have someone use drums
3.Record and start making awesome noises
3a.dont forget the lyrics
4.Listen to it
4a.if its good,publish it on YouTube
5.if it gets 500 likes,publish it on iTunes

1-3. Not everyone has a band, some of us *coughmostofuscough* are single people just making music on FL Studio/LMMS, or playing the guitar or a piano by themselves.

3a. What's wrong with instrumental/video-game-type music?

4a-5. Maybe we just wanna make music, not get famous off it?

Yes, because iTunes dramatically increases the quality of the actual music ;D

It actually decreases it; lower bitrates, you know ;o
