That'll be problematic if I ever talk Jens into custom hat blocks.
Oh, maybe not, it might just be a fourth case, namely a WHEN <...> block with a Boolean (Unevaluated) input.

Hey, I have enough trouble making M30W for Scratch, I think I'll let Snap! wait in the list of nice things I'm never gonna do
BTW, It'd be probably better approach to straightly edit Snap! to add Text editing capabilities, shouldn't be that hard to make
Now flash, that's too buggy and closed-sourced for me.

That's okay, I'll add a type.is_hat to Kurt 2 or something

Aside from "that's what Scratch 1.4 does," why do hat blocks have multiple types?
Uh... That's what Scratch 1.4 does? Honestly, I have no idea -- the blockspecs come straight from the Squeak source code.

Hot off the presses, Brian's Last Lecture.
They say they're going to make a better video with me and the slides, instead of switching back and forth a little too late each time, but this is what they put up on the webcast site right after the lecture this afternoon.
(I'm not teaching 61A this semester, but the guy who is graciously invited me to come give the last lecture of the semester because I'm retiring.)
(PS Sorry, Jens, for saying "we" developed Snap! without going into just who's included in the "we"; I didn't think I had time. I'll see if I can get them to subtitle the archive version.)

Yep. I'm excited for 2.0, but I'll miss this thread.
Speaking of, are we going to make a new version of this thread on the 2.0 site?

July 1. But, effectively, now, since I'm going to be traveling starting Thursday. That's why it was the Last Lecture.
Yes, I guess I should figure out how to start threads on the new site...
EDIT: Oh, I see, we have to wait for Advanced Topics to appear on the new site. I guess just before heading off to Japan Thursday morning I can recreate the thread (although probably with a different name!).

You're still going to be at Berkeley, right? And working on Snap!?

It's almost the same thing. With more BBCode.

Me too. It'll be lonely without this thread.
(Reminder: rewrite your AT sticky!)

Yes and yes. Fear not. Just not teaching classes.
*gasp* you won't have internet in Japan?
Yes, I will, but not on the first day of 2.0, during which I'll be mid-Pacific rather than in Japan. Arriving the 10th.
PS I wish one of our gang lived there!

Just for three days. Then we'll recreate it. "Snap! Team discussion thread" or something like that, I'm thinking. That sounds better than "Teasing nXIII" in the AT listing.

Well, I think you know which country I'm in, so if you're ever at a conference...
