I don't see the need to give extra credit when it says under the project where it came from. You're obviously not trying to claim it as your own if it literally says you didn't totally make it and lists who your work was based off

People don't like it when they do that, and almost everyone who views the remix don't read and think that the remixer make the project. (Why that happens we don't know)

But you could still copy it and still have the based on sign. I have seen multiple of them and have flagged them. And the Some Rights Reserved page requires that you give credit. The community guidelines also tell you to give credit. Some copied projects don't even have the based on-- sign!
