Yeah, but in OotP he used a Ministry service iirc.  smile

I don't remember that... But there is a 95% chance you did remember correctly.  tongue

Now some thought questions, that i'm not sure about. (Spoilers ahead, obviously.)

As Hagrid points out, why did Sirius give him his bike, saying he wouldn't need it?

If Dobby's nose was so long, why wouldn't it have stuck out of the bush? After all, he must have been close enough to the front for Harry to see his eyes.

Ah come on, the answer was close enough and was not wrong technically, although like you said it didn't go into specifics... xD

And I suppose Sirius insisted on giving Hagrid the bike because they wanted to get Harry out as soon as possible. Just my thoughts.

And by bush, which scene are you talking of?  smile

Beginning, Book 2

Where he sees Dobby's big green eyes? Ah, right. Well, perhaps he was deep inside the bush? I know that is a shallow explanation but that's a possibility I guess.

Yeah. Perhaps Dobby poked those holes to see into the Dursleys' garden.

Killing the basilisk, cracking open the ring, destroying the locket, and killing Nagini. That makes 4.

Another thought question: If Harry knew that the Weasleys always wanted a house-elf, why didn't he send Kreacher there instead of to Hogwarts?

Harry Potter Wiki wrote:

House-elves are between two to three feet tall, with spindly arms and legs and over-sized heads and eyes. They have pointed, bat-like ears and high, squeaky voices. Rather than conventional clothing, house-elves wear discarded items like pillowcases and tea-towels. Though when they are freed, and when they are able to pay for proper clothing, they seem to not know how to wear it. For example, Dobby wore a single different styled sock on each foot, and in fact was under the impression that it wasn't correct to wear two matching socks.

No mention of nose size, on a wiki based on the book.

Did other people use the sword "off-screen" to add to that tally?

I've enjoyed every moment in the Hogwarts school. The sad thing is that Dumbledore is dead. The interesting thing / twist: snape is a well wisher of harry potter, we didn't know that until last.
