Wait, what.
He's cynically mocking the history of ST announcements and delays that are later announced.

That's not true; it'll link to that URL on the new site.I think he/she means saving the page offline, which you can do in some browsers, in addition to bookmarking/favouriting.
That is true, but I assumed that they meant what they said.

Scratch 2.0 is awesome, but it would be better if the SpriteList panel can group sprites into folders, and sprites can be viewed in list instead of icons. like those in adobe applications.. I have a hard time of dragging those icons.

I haven't used antivirus software for a long time.

Well, until I get on the administrator account (aka. my mum's account) I can't whitelist it.

I don't remember making that announcement. xD Seems too unrealistic / hype like for me.
But yes, this release has been delayed - frankly, it was harder and took longer than we thought.
And what's more - it's going to take a while to stabilize / work out the kinks on the new site, even after we release on Thursday. So: I promise there will be challenges.

I'm real sad to see 1.4 go. One last question- can I get projects from 2.0 into the 1.4 editor?

No, because they're different formats, and 2.0 isn't backward-compatable (I think).

Yep, that's right! To be able to make Scratch 1.4 read the Scratch 2.0 format, we would've needed to have a time machine when we made Scratch 1.4, so we could go into the future, understand the new 2.0 file format we would be inventing 3 years from then, and then add the ability to read it in to Scratch 1.4.
Alas, no time machines over here at MIT that I know of (but we did throw a party for time travellers once! )
However, I did hear of some Scratchers working on a way to convert 2.0 projects to 1.4 - not sure how that's going though.
