Re: Electronica

I was scrolling down that list going OMG WHEN DOES IT END

Anyway, I have this one remix of Hello Seattle that I play sometimes on osu!
And I suppose I'll plug "Being Proof"  even though the lyrics are awful (10 PRINT "WHAT YOU THINK THAT WE THINK IS COOL" : 20 GOTO 10)

Actually electronic is my fav genre of musics.

Re: Electronica

My top-ten Electronica artists:

1. deadmau5 (Progressive House, Minimal, Electro House)
2. The M Machine (Electro House, Alternative Dance)
3. Porter Robinson (Electro House, Progressive House, Moombathon)
4. Kill the Noise (Dubstep, House, Electro House)
5. The Chemical Brothers (Big Beat, Techno)
6. KOAN Sound (Glitch, Electro House, Ambient)
7. M83 (Synth-pop, Alternative Dance)
8. CHVRCHES (Synth-pop)
9. Skrillex (Brostep, House, Chill)
10. Knife Party (Complextro, Brostep, Electro House)

Daft Punk isn't on because I hated 'Discovery' and 'Human After All' was average. 'Homework' was amazing for it's time though.

Re: Electronica

Bamp.

I found out about speedcore and some of it isn't too bad. I like "The Big Black" and "Gotsa Terrify" by The Quick Brown Fox. Most of it is just really bad though (turn to page "Rip Roar Power")

Not providing a link because there's profanity in like all of the other tracks  sad

Get Funky?

I'm glad that Daft Lunk is returning to their earlier works, but I'm worried that it'll sound too much like Discovery (which I hate for some reason).

Daft Punk...

(can't tell if trying to make joke or just error)
Anyway, thanks for making an EDM topic, we need one!

Justice and Daft Punk are great, my favorites are probably...
Most of their live album, Alive (songs with / are mixes, not individual songs, mixed in the live show) (Television Rules the Nation/Crescendolls, Around the World/Harder Better Faster Stronger (with Steam Machine), Da Funk/Daftendirek, Robot Rock/Oh Yeah)
their remix of Aerodynamic, Areodynamite, is also pretty good. But I would recommend the Alive songs above in descending order of awesomeness.

Justice has fewer songs, D.A.N.C.E. and its remix B.E.A.T. are good. 1 Minute to Midnight, Genesis, Waters of Nazareth, Genesis, Let there be Light, and Phantom are good. I would especially recommend B.E.A.T., Phantom, and 1 Minute to Midnight.

EDM is the parent, I'd say.

Typo.

2 Minutes to Midnight is great for dedicated EDM-listeners but On 'n On is better for those who prefer rock music.

It's One Minute to Midnight, I've seen it both ways and incorrectly wrote it as 2 there  tongue

Re: Electronica

I like acid jazz (Bonobo, 9 Lazy 9, Liquid Soul, etc) and industrial /industrial rock (Cabaret Voltaire, Skinny Puppy, Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson, etc) but there wasn't really much else on that genre list that I listen to

I'd suggest The Chemical Brother's earlier works like "Exit Planet Dust" or "Loops of Fury EP".

Re: Electronica

I've a friend who's way more into electronica/whatever than I am and he's had me listen to the Chemical Brothers a bunch of times (esp their earlier stuff too) and they're nice and all but it isn't something I'd listen to regularly

I checked the list again and I also listen to disco but I think I might do so ironically I can't really tell sometimes

I like 2 Minutes to Midnight better than 1 Minute to Midnight. Also Phantom Pt II is better then the first. Genesis is great though.

2 Minutes and 1 Minute are the same track, one is just live.
Phantom Pt II Soulwax Remix is best  wink
