I have a game I'm working on that has taken me a while, that is over 10MB. I'm just wondering, when the Scratch 2.0 site launches, can I send it to that website, if it's a Scratch 1.4 project that's over 10MB? Thanks!

There's been a lot of discussion over on 2.0 about this too. Nobody really knows for sure, and as far as I'm concerned, the ST hasn't said anything.
I see. Hopefully it will be able to hold 10MB+ 1.4 projects. Thanks for the reply!

Yes. I believe the Scratch 2.0 limit is 50MB.

Thanks for the answer! Do you know if that is also for 1.4 projects on the 2.0 site?

I'd think so, as the limit will have increased so when the program checks, it should be changed. If not, just import your 1.4 project into the 2.0 editor.

Although the 2.0 project limit is 50MB, Scratch 1.4 projects >10MB will still not be allowed.
Check this out for details

But what if the project is imported from the 2.0 file menu online, instead of uploaded to the 2.0 site from the desktop client? I believe that issue pertained to the latter.

I think it will still only allow 10MB, because of the 10MB per asset limit, and the project being an asset.

There was a new feature to upload 1.4 projects to the 2.0 website as their new own project.

How is the project an asset?
