I like making quarry mines and stuff like that. Once I made a quarry mine and it was working fine... about halfway to bedrock, it stopped working and almost overheated. It did have fuel in it and I have never got a quarry to work after that.  hmm  I also don't like how they removed the Forestry mod.

Weird about the quarry. Although I am totally clueless of the intricacies of build craft, Ic2, etc.  tongue

Re: Tekkit

I got Tekkit working on my new MacBook Pro now, so I might work on a new world... I will start the AwesomeNet again because my old code isn't very good to work with and it is hard to add stuff like FTP.

Re: Tekkit

My new Awesome Inc. HQ is going to be just over 64x32x32 blocks, floating above the clouds. The computers will be running a heaps better AwesomeNet than the old version and the all new AwesomeOS. AwesomeOS will cloud-based OS. Pun not intended. It will have more features than the plain, boring CraftOS and will have a built-in updater. The new AwesomeNet will have a Domain Name Server, awesomely allowing different web servers to be run everywhere*! The inside of the headquarters is actually a lot smaller, although still very big due to such an awesome company having very good security, the walls are thick, and resistant to most explosions**. The inside is nice and cool, with nice cool, bright cyan lights completely covering the inside walls. Awesome Inc. HQ also has a very secure entrance***. The door is protected with a system that will wait until a special floppy disk is inserted into the disk drive. After that, the computer will prompt you to type your password, which the door will then unlock if you entered it correctly.

* The AwesomeNet is not available in all areas. Areas not connected to the AwesomeNet will be able to connect to nearby servers directly through CID, but not DNS.

** The 1 block layer on the outside that makes Awesome Inc. HQ look cool, although making it look cool, unfortunately won't stop explosions getting past it. The next 2 blocks wil though.

*** Although the door security system may be very secure, it still may be possible to bypass the door by hacking into the server and telling it to unlock the door for you. Hopefully I make the door even more secure, that you can't hack it. Well there is always the method of breaking through the walls and breaking something important, or maybe TNT.  tongue

I do not promise to finish this or anything like that. I may simply get bored with it or just forget about it. I also do not guarantee that Awesome Inc. will be or is actually cool or awesome.

Re: Tekkit

I suppose Tekkit won't really need updating now.. We have Technic that's updated to 1.4.2 - if you have hamachi then you can setup a server using LAN mode  big_smile  Also, we get EE3 and BC3, and also STEAM ENGINES from Railcraft. That's VEEERY useful.

Digi, we don't all want hamachi to play Tekkit.

And btw, Technic stole a bunch of FTB mods  neutral

Re: Tekkit

how do I do this in ComputerCraft for Tekkit Lite lua?
It is for a Schrodingers' Cat in Minecraft world/video.

when gf clicked
set [tntrandom v] to (pick random (1) to (2))
if <(tntrandom) = [1]>
wait (10) secs
redstoney stuff
end
Also, bump.

Who would win, SOPA or PIPA?

Code:

randomthing = math.random(0, 2);
if randomthing == 1 then
redstone.setOutput(insertsidehere, true);
os.sleep(1);
redstone.setOutput(insertsidehere, false);
end

I don't quite remember whether the higher number in math.random is inclusive, so that might be a 1/3 chance.  I'm pretty sure it's 1/2, though.

Re: Tekkit

Thanks. I want it to wait 10 seconds then go on, but I'll see what I can do. Do you have a youtube channel?
Would this work:

Code:

tnt = math.random(0,2);
if tnt == 1 then
os.sleep(10);
redstone.setOutput(back, 'true');
end
