PetRun, my first iOS app!

PetRun my first iOS app has just come out. PetRun is a side-scrolling endless runner that involves different animals!

I'm not sure if I am allowed to link to the iTunes App store, but here is the (non-clickable) link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/petrun/id630985700?ls=1&mt=8

Don't worry, it's free!

Re: PetRun, my first iOS app!

Cool! How do people make iOS/Android apps, though? I've always been interested.

It's the last day of 1.4! *cries* (quote from NeilWest, rest by me) by the time you read this it probably will be 2.0  sad

iOS apps are normally programmed with XCode, the SDK for iOS.  I don't know about Android, though.  A DL (developer licence) is $99/yr for iOS, and $25/forever for Android

Oh, sounds cool! (but a bit expensive XP)

Android uses Java. Also note that you will need OS X Mountain Lion if you want to program for iOS 6. The latest versions of XCode I don't believe run on older versions.

No, it works fine on 10.7 lion, ans probably 10.6 SL.

Really? I thought the latest version was only 1.8 compatible. That may make my hackintoshing ventures easier...

Cool app! What are your plans for the next app you make (assuming you're making another)?

Java, compiled to be used by Android's "Dalvik" VM, using Android's own libraries (i.e. totally not the same as "desktop" Java).

@OP: looks nice, but I got no iDevices to try it on xP

Re: PetRun, my first iOS app!

It's a little generic, but it's fun!

Nice job on getting it on the App Store, too.

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.
