You're added to round three, but I forgot the topic I was planning, do any of you remember me posting something about it? I looked but couldn't find anything.

Are you talking to me?
Can you guys please quote someone when you reply to them? It makes it less confusing.

Okay, found something. Will look some more.

Yay! Yeah, I can't do round 3, because that would be really crazy. I'm busy, but luckily, school ends May 24th. So 22.5 days of school left!

Re: Write to DEATH - A challenging competition for avid writers

I'm not trying to copy this or take away your competitors but I made my own writing collab.
It's different from this but I'm just informing you so you don't find it and accuse me of stealing. I tried something like this a while ago too but it failed cause it was too complex and wasn't in Collaboration.
Mine is called Scribecraft, btw.

You didn't steal anything. I may have been one of the first of the writing rage (Room of books, Arabian Nights, all those came very soon after), but you can do whatever you want!

Re: Write to DEATH - A challenging competition for avid writers

Aww darn it. Ok, I guess I got to think of stuff for round three. I'm late already, so it will end a day late.

Ok, the rules for round three are as follows: (I'm changing up the rules a bit. Now, what I say is kind of like dares for your story. The more dares you do, the more points you get.)

Musts:
Your story must take place in the twentieth century.
Your character must find himself in a biome he's never been in before.
It must have some survival aspects.

Now, for the dares. These are extra credit, but can be hard to include in your story:
Include a geeky nerd that does something great.
Include a main character with a weird name that could be for either gender.
Include a scene where a book hater reads a book.
Include a scene where someone slaps someone else's face.
     Include a cliff-hanger
Include a cup of coffee which tastes terrible.
     Include a Harry Potter reference.

Doesn't seem too hard and I'm already plotting scenes for those dares. Anyone up for a good Luna Lovegood quote?  wink

Re: Write to DEATH - A challenging competition for avid writers

Ouch- those dares just proved that geekyness got reinvented.
If any of you are wondering, bookworm studios was the first writing collab, way before the writing rage, however, it restarted as part of the writing rage very recenty. Bookworm studios does not brag that it was the first, but we do withold te right to go
'nyaa' for no apparent reason. We've no idea why we keep that right, we don't use it, or plan on doing.

Anyway.
I'm getting tense.
Anyone else feeling tense?
I'm feeling tense.
Let's all feel tense together.

I also object to anyone having the right to brag about having won. I can't stand bragging. I can't even stand myself when I do brag (I don't thankfully). A slug could have beaten usain bolt at the olympics but it still doesn't have the right to brag as far as I care.
Not meaning to sound forceful or bossy or anything.

Celebrating something Is fine. Bragging about it isn't, but I'm going to assume that you meant 'tactfully celebrating' when you said 'bragging'. Tactfully celebrating somethign is fine, as it just involves the winner telling everyone else how glad they are for them, as opposed to themselves.  smile  I encourage it in fact.

Re: Write to DEATH - A challenging competition for avid writers

Rating Programmer's story:

Alec is a normal teen, or thinks he is, but in truth, he's destined to save a different world, called Alkanos. After being transported to the planet, he meets Amer, an alien who wants Alec to overthrow Misuca. After days of planning, the duo is ready and an epic battle ends the story.

I enjoyed it quite a bit, there were some misspellings, and some parts that you're like "What?", but I thoroughly think it deserves an 8/10!

Rating pinnipediator's story!

I really like it! A lot of misspellings, but the story itself is very interesting!  big_smile  The ending, how it explained what happened to the others, was really good, and I like how it tied up all the loose ends. I'll rate it 7/10!

Rating Waffle's story:

Wow. That is super super good. No misspellings, the entire book stayed in the person it began in, and the story captivated me from the start. I love it! You have a talent for writing, and I want to see a published book by you. It's amazing! I was completely into the story, and was really sad when the main character died. That's one of the best short stories I've ever seen!  big_smile

10/10! Completely deserves it!
