Librarians - a book writing club.

Welcome to the Librarians. We write books and publish them as scratch projects.

We need some staff though. We need up to 5 writers and 2 editors and 1 person who uploads the projects. I'm a writer, and the manager, and a person who uploads projects. There still needs to be 4 more writers, 2 more editors and 1 more uploader.

If you want to join, say I want to join and then say what rank you want. First you have to post the finished book here. We will write a chapter at a time and the writers will all write and the others will vote which version of the chapter they like best. The chapter with the most votes gets to be published as a scratch project. However, I will not be able to post many projects. The other publisher will have to do most of the uploading. You can have only one rank/job. Have fun.  smile

EDIT: You can have a maximum of 2 jobs.  smile  Because we may not have a lot of member.

We have so many writing clubs now on Scratch. Yay! But I'm in so many, I'm not going to join.

Sure! For now lets just post our chapters without voting. We need more staff and I can't write too often so, what do you think the book should be called?

Re: Librarians - a book writing club.

Name of the book: (Maybe) Predator

Chapter 1 Deadly Winter

It was the beginning of winter. Every animal and living thing and taken shelter in some place or another. In the Wolf Clan however, things were not looking bright... 'We need reinforcements!' shouted Erk the leader of the Wolves. They had lost over 200 wolves in the war against the Fox Clan and they had lost the huge battle and surrendered 2 kilometres of land to the Fox Clan. They now only had a population of 40 instead of the original 450. 'We must make allies to either the Monkey Clan or the Tiger Clan. The rest are our enemies!' said  Dinlet the wisest member of the Clan. There were 6 clans. The Tiger Clan, the Fox Clan, the Monkey Clan, the Lion Clan, the Hyena Clan and of course the Wolf Clan. 'We can't afford any mistakes or we'll lose the rest of the clan and our own lives and the Wolf Clan will be history.' said Erk. 'But I think we have 1 hope.' continued Erk, 'We must make allies with the Tiger Clan immediately.' However when the Tiger Clan leader called Hether and he was planning a deadly betrayal.
He was surprised at such an opportunity so early and so deadly. He told the messenger to say he agreed and that they would war against the Foxes soon, but he allied with the Foxes secretly and told them his plan.  At the battlefield it was 200 wolves vs 190 Foxes. There were also 10 Tigers. It was very fierce and when the Wolves realised the Tigers had betrayed, they were even more fierce and they eventually won the war and took back the stolen lands. Meanwhile, in the Monkey Clan, they wanted to ally the Wolves because Hyena Clan were planning to war against them. The Wolves heartily agreed.

(End of chapter)

How do you like it?

Chapter 2 Knightly Power

As soon as the Hyenas heard of the allied clans against them, they created a new type of soldiers. Knights. They rode on top of horses, and used their deadly Hyena Swords against them. After training about 40 knights, they had a total of 500 troops and the allies had 680 lessar troops. I'll write more later

Re: Librarians - a book writing club.

Is an editor spot still open? I'd like to help.
I would choose writer but I'd rather keep my own writing and maybe work it into a book.
I've already got a 47 page long book in progress, I mean, my goal is 150-200 pages but I've finished 47.
Anyway, I've got good grammar (I sort of taught myself; I'm homeschooled and my mom isn't that good at grammar but I have a personal collection of over 200 books, mostly fiction, and all that reading, though i haven't read them all, sort of helped me understand grammar) But I HATE grammar lessons, like Grammar Usage and Mechanics? It's terrible!!! (I'm in an online charter school)
So, editor spot open or not?

Re: Librarians - a book writing club.

Wow, i just read those 2 chapters you wrote and they're pretty darn good. You could lengthen it a little with more descriptions like what the characters look like and few sentences explaining how the tigers turned on the wolves, like suddenly they start attacking them from within. Maybe describe the battles a bit more in depth, you can probably tell that I like describing.
Otherwise it's great, and the Hyena Knights on horses? I'd never think of something like that! (Partly cause it's kinda creepy but still cool.)  smile
