It doesn't feel particularly special in any way, though it is quality.

Hmm... What do you mean by special?  Is it too much like default, or is it plain boring, or what?  Do you mean it too similar to all the other packs out there?  If you dislike it, I'd like to know why, so I can improve.

...No, it wont.  If you want to be Admin, everyone gets admin, otherwise nobody does, and you can't ban anybody, and they can grief.

• Emerald armor/tools
• Windows (right click to open) glass-gate-glass
• A wasteland biome (lots of dirt, sand, stone and lava pools
• Sharks (Hostile, can break boats by swimming into them, 20HP, does same damage as skeletons)

And maybe an early model of an airplane, like what the Wright brothers had, so in Survival you can fly decent distances to get somewhere, and maybe when you craft one you can add a boat to it so you can land on water when your "engines" start failing.
Though that might make the Minecraft world a little more modern...
And maybe you can keep other pets! Like... hmm... Giant Tortoises or Koalas? I dunno, I like them.

Can you imagine what coal armor would be like?
One, you'd lose it in water
Two, falling in fire or lava would make you ignite like the Nether (or blow up if it was gunpowder armor, lol)
Three, you'd slowly suffocate.
Four, animals would stay away, and maybe zombies too but Creepers might want to see what happens to you.
Five, Endermen might think you're a tiny one of them?

Oh! they need Endermen heads, knight's helmets (with a visor so you can look at endermen the way you would with a pumpkin),
And lastly, the one thing I REALLY want:
A Lapis Lazuli Bone sword,
You craft it the way you would any sword but instead of sticks you use a bone and rather than wood/stone/iron/etc. you use lapis lazuli!
It would be EPIC.

We have a lot of pets already, more mobs is generally something I wouldn't like

If you think endermen are scary (which, personally I do, heh) be happy they didn't put this dude in:
The Giant,
It's basically a giant zombie mob but.... it's 12 blocks tall, 10 taller than us... And I'm pretty sure it could've destroyed a house in one swipe... Though it would be kinda cool.... Maybe if they're only in the mountains.

It doesn't destroy blocks; and you can spawn it with Single Player Commands.
