10-inch or 7-inch Tablet?

I'm thinking about making a tablet, but I'm not sure what size it should be.

Unless your planning on multi-tasking with >3 items, get a 7"

Re: 10-inch or 7-inch Tablet?

I find that 7" is a compromise for both large screen productivity, and portability. 7" is just too small to type with two fingers, but too big to type comfortably with thumbs. 7" doesn't fit in a pocket either. Go for the 10", unless you're thinking of getting the galaxy tablet, or note 10.1. Both are heavily modded android and not as good as vanilla android. Go for either an iPad 4 or Nexus 10.

Making a tablet? Is this the raspberry pi idea? If so... Don't make it a tablet  tongue  A touchscreen costs more than its worth, just buy a nexus or something.

7" is fine for most purposes.

4 school stuff and gaming? 7 inch is fine. Major projects and 3D gaming? 10 inch.

Right now it'll probably be with a BeagleBone  tongue

And I want to make one because I want to be an electronics engineer when I grow up so this will be cool practice.

Re: 10-inch or 7-inch Tablet?

The software keyboard on my 10 inch is the same size as a real one. It's so easy to type stuff without mistakes.

bye 1.4, we all loved you. but we all outgrew the site. 2.0 is a welcome change.
