Yeah, I've done a few HTS missions too.  tongue  On my school laptop, the system image installed on all of the laptops has Blue Coat ProxyClient. It can be easily disabled with that hack I posted before. I don't want to disable it though because ProxyClient logs what it is doing and uploads it.

EDIT: I heard that CISPA passed. I'm still not sure if and how it will affect us who are outside the USA.

(also i doubt if you were trained by the "good people of anonymous" you wouldnt know the difference between hacking and modding. unless you did those "dark hacking deeds" in the three months since you posted that?)

It's weird, my school's computers block stuff that isn't related to hacking at all for reason: hacking.  However, they don't block HTS.

CISPA has only passed the House so far (it's the first of three steps that it has to go through before it becomes law).  However, if it does pass, then the US will be able to know anything that you've put on google, facebook, twitter, or any other website that has servers in the US (like this one).

Yeah, I'm mostly inactive.  I check in once in a while though.  If you want to contact me, I have a contact form at my website, http://escratch.org

Most hacking sites are blocked at my school, including HTS.
^^ I don't want them to know all my personal information.  yikes

Re: HACKING (for a good reason)

Don't get too concerned yet. Last time they tried to pass CISPA it got through the house but not the Senate, as Obama threatened to veto, which he still does.

Thanks for making that more clear. A lot of other websites say that the US government would be able to access our personal information.

Bump... I used the Windows 7 hack I previously posted to install XNA Framework 4.0 on my school laptop so that I can play Terraria.  big_smile

Infinite sun, instant reload for plants, infinite money.   tongue

Also, is HTS safe?  What sort of thing does it teach?  I may get an account.

You can't easily edit PvZ (It is possible, but hard to do and it is most likely illegal to decompile/reverse engineer it), but you can use a Cheat Engine for Windows or iHaxGamez if you have a Mac.
Yes, HTS is safe. It doesn't really teach much. I think is more about testing your hacking skills. You should also have some knowledge in HTML/SSI, JavaScript, PHP, and Unix/Linux shell commands. There are hints and other information may need to know on the HTS forums too.

My sister once wanted me to hack someone's Facebook account because they were being nasty/mean to her, so I setup a phishing scam that looks exactly like the Facebook login page and emailed it to them from a email address similar to their brother's. It didn't work though. The host I was using took it down not long after I sent it.  tongue

Home hosting, man! No rules!
I've had incredible ideas that basically involve making a drone/RC aircraft to fly over someone's house, dropping a smaller tank-like system, having that crack their wireless password and just sniff packets. Although most likely that isn't quite legal and I don't really have all the expertise needed to do something like that.

Lol we had really slow internet back then.  tongue

This morning at school, we received a copy of this: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/w … 6622043232
That is about people using another student's (TAFE) passwords to access blocked websites such as Facebook. I have seen so many people using Facebook at school in class. I just find it really annoying knowing that they are not doing the right thing.
I hacked my laptop to play games and write programs on it at lunch and home, not in class.  tongue
