Its okay if you want to become famous, go for it! Just dont get upset if you dont cut it. Imagine. There are only about 20 projects on the front page... thats about .0002% of the people on scratch who are happy at that moment. theres another 99.8888% who are still trying to make it. 
Im okay with trying to get famous, just dont go crazy about it, try and have fun!

I would have one more thing to add: It will be a LOT of work to get your first front-paged (excluding newest) project. If you have an awesome idea, don't think "Oh, this can be glitchy and badly programmed and have bad music and artwork because the idea is awesome". That will get you a good, not great, project. Instead, think "If I program this right, then it will be successful." Many projects have good concepts, but bad art/glitches/whatever, so they never gain popularity. If you want an awesome project, you'll have to work hard. End of story.
