Earthbound is a JRPG made for the SNES console, and released in 1995. The game didn't see extremely high sales, and the game hasn't been released since due to copyright issues. The game has a huge cult following and is highly revered by many.
Now that the background info is out of the way, the real topic of this thread is finding cartridges of this game. Earthbound is expensive and rare, the game runs for about $150 for a CHEAP copy on Ebay. Have any of you found a copy? If so, how did you get it?
I personally don't have a copy, but I really want to play it. My personal suggestions are stores that sell old games, for me it is a local used video games and movies store.

My friend has a copy
Bought it on EBay for 250$

The cheapest I found was a copy on Amazon for $100. I heard it was good, but considering I don't have an SNES and I don't really want to spend that much money on the game, I'll just wait and see if Nintendo puts out a Virtual Console version.

Did you guys know that Earthbound was going to have a sequel on the N64, but was cancelled?
AND OF COURSE NINTENDO'S NOT GIVING US AMERICANS MOTHER 3.

Well they're putting it Mother 1 and 2 for the Wii U Virtual Console
Gentlemen, grab your baseball bats and yo-yo's.

Somehow my mom got it for me for about $25, and I never suspected how valuable it was for quite a while.

You are really lucky. The question is, are you going to keep it and play it, or sell it?

Ohoho, I'm definitely keeping it. I don't care how much I'll get if I sell it; video games are always better when played on their original console instead of an emulator.

It wouldn't hurt to check around garage sales/flea markets and thrift shops either. With lots of the smaller thrift shops around here they're run by older people who don't really care enough about video games to determine what they should be pricing them/figure they're all a dime a dozen and give questionably low prices for all of them esp. ones for out-of-date consoles
(But then there's always that one store that thinks every video game they've got is a rare find that they price like x5 its value too)

If you find a Banjo Kazooie N64 cartridge, leave it behind the dumpster. Come alone.

...Which dumpster?

8:00 PM. If you don't come within 10 minutes, it won't be there. I won't wait around.

I don't really have any thrift shops or flea markets, but there is this store that my brother mention that sells old stuff like SNES carts.

Yes I would like the sequel.
And any dumpster will do.
Make sure you're not followed.
