At least that's what I say.
That is true in some cases, but Fanboys can be completely obsessed with stuff also.
It's actually kind of funny, because one of my friends, (who is a homestuck like me) is pretty defensive on her fandom beliefs and I am just obsessed. So obsessed that it annoys even her. So, I dunno, this idea of yours is a bit shaky, anyone can switch back and forth if they choose.

Ok, I'm going to tell you guys a story. For Christmas, I got a couple of books, I didn't look at the title, so yeah. Then I find this thread, and I post about fanboys and girls, then I look at my books and I realize I got Divergent books 1 and 2. Happy reading for me.

So what were your thoughts on the book(s)?
The first one was pretty awesome.
I still haven't gotten the second or third (is there a third one yet) books because my mom won't take me to the bookstore.

They sell the books at walmart and the third book comes out in fall 2013!

I took the test in the back of the book and got Amity/Erudite. Divergent, yeah! XD

As I said previously, I got these books for Christmas, and I finished them, they were great, so I guess I'm waiting for book three now. On the test, I think I was Amity/Erudite.

Don't you have to get three or more to be divergent? Because it's a pretty common thing to get two. I'm really divergent 'cause I got two for erudite, two for candor, one for abnegation, one for amity, and one for dauntless. Then I took a quiz online and there were like twenty questions and I got four for everything 0.o

No, I dont think so, because they said her 3 answers were really rare. I dont know though, I havent read the books for a while, so my Divergent knowledge is a little rusty.
I think I got an Abnegation and 3 for Amity 3 for erudite

I actually hated Divergent when I first read it. I don't know, I just didn't enjoy it.
Also I hate how people nowadays, especially girls at my school, are like "SQUEE HUNGER GAMES IS TEH BEST DYSTOPIAN BOOK EVAR" and I say "Nuh uh, that title would go to 1984" and then they're like "WTC IS 1984?".
-.-You hated Divergent?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *dead* ......about The Hunger Games: yes that title would go to 1984 but still, I am in love with the hunger games. The hunger games is more fantasy adventure and I really like those types of stories. 1984 is some serious realistic stuff therefore I really can't compare the two when (in my opinion) they belong in two different genres
I really don't consider The Hunger Games (and I think people call Divergent it too?) dystopian at all. It's action-adventure, maybe sci-fi.
I think dystopian should be reserved for like, actual commentary on the matter.

I really dislike the term fangirl/fanboy
Unless, maybe, if it's used with a negative connotation
But I mean just calling yourself a fangirl of something can actively discourage me from wanting to read something
No, I DON'T want to be associated with the annoying screaming people.
That's not to insult anyone, but to explain what I think fangirl connotates.

Perfect XD Okay fangirl time!!!!
Let me just start of saying that I [removed by moderator] LOVE FOUR SO MUCH.XD
And that I've memorized 5 people in the Divergent cast.
Theo James=Four
Shailene Woodley=Tris
Kate Winslet=Jeanie
Jai Courtney=Eric
Ray Stephenson=Marcus
And I want to know why we haven't seen casting for Uriah or Zeke or Drew yet.

Impressive! And I wanna see that too! Like, I love all of the bad guys in the book 'cause- I don't know why. They're just amusing. You know what I mean? And Uriah is funny as he11 so I can't wait to see him! Oh and I got really ticked off 'cause Aaron Eckhart was listed on IMDb to play Andrew Prior (which is a good thing, that's not what ticked me off). I was freaking out 'cause that's the exact actor that I wanted to play him. But then the other day he suddenly got taken off of the cast list and Veronica said Tony Goldwyn is playing him. I'm sooooo mad! IMDb barley ever screws things up! And of caurse they just had to screw something up that was already perfect
