Maybe but just don't look at the bottom of the page. And focus more on making projects than complaining about the front page. Yes... the forums liver... Bluestribute... with over 4000 posts

We really cant complain its the power of the people lol. We cant control what others enjoy even if we dont like it. Dont get me wrong I hear your point but we cant do anything about it. Its like telling a person to throw away what they love. Its not right to do but maybe its a phase and it will die out.
Wow, that's so true! Thanks for saying that, many people have been complaining lately.

THERES A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO ALL THIS
Here's what we gotta do
everyone start drawing many dog pictures and soon, the cats will be driven out!

I wish people did more games than art or small animations. But it would be nice to get decent movies and a series of them to, I really likes Dsdude's Kashi movies. (But I do wish they were a little longer.)

True, but stuff like the Keona's story is great. Same with the Warriors Movie episodes, and stuff like that. But when it comes to Maskedstar's drawings, than no. But to me, top-viewed doesn't matter. But top loved, featured, stuff like that are awesome. You know what I mean? No.
How do you not, Kao works hard on making those for us Warriors fans! It's not as easy as you think!!! Don't forget that it's an amazing project, with great art, and voices too. And longpatrol is telling us about her anthro(keona)'s story of the life. Well voiced, smoothly animated, and drawn well. If you don't want to see cats, than don't bother looking at the front page!
and we don't work 10 times harder? I mean I'm not an expert, but if I had a tablet, and the necessary art programs, I could whip up something to oo and aw at to. Plus, they really aren't movies, just short animations that come every 5 months or so, then they make a big fuss, then they drop it.

Yes, I said that it would probably die down in a few days.
Not until somebody creates an extrememly awesome project. ^_^
Cats've been here for several years, as well as WotF, and it won't stop that easily. It's basically part of Scratch now. ^_^

I am generally a nice and tolerant scratch user but I have to admit that I would like some more diversity on the front page's top loved and top viewed sections.
My suggestion would be to use the suggestions forum to recommend that after one of there projects appeared on the front page for a month afterward that that user couldn't get a front page project. This would prevent the same users from returning again and again to the front page, maskedstar, kaotheroogoncreator, maki tak, long patrol, etc.
I have nothing against these users but there needs to be more of a diversity of projects on the front page.
But what if one user made more than one amazing project? that would be unfair, even if it was about warrior cats, anthros or wolves...

If the Scratch community likes cats, let them like cats. But you're right, there is too much cat stuff o the front page. It's probably going to disappear in a few days.
I agree with you, even thought I am a cat lover. It's because of the popularity of the scratch members, popularity of the Warriors series, cat lovers, and quality. Tis' why, people this is also getting annoying how people keep complaining.
i mean i personally don't like cats but some people do oh well

There's another thread that has an answer to this. All these anime and cat drawers have huge fan bases that always look at whatever new projects they make. This almost automatically propels them onto the front page.

I've seen many awesome projects that have been created, and it hasn't died down. I don't think Scratch is the right place for that kind of stuff. I suggest making a WotF external forum so that Scratch can be about programming.

Well I think that these projects are featured and top-loved because they actually WORK HARD ON MAKING THEM! It is very hard to do animation especially with lip-syncing. It also takes a lot of work to get the story lines and art right. Personally I don't mind cat projects featured because in case you didn't notice but the Scratch mascot is a CAT yes a cat. So if you have a problem with that then don't complain about it. I also like the cat projects because my favorite animal is a Fox I know it is completely different than a cat but to me they are very similar. So if you don't like the projects then just don't even look at the featured projects. We don't really care. (At least I don't)

You would not dare to say that people making games to not work hard. They do. And having cats all over the front page might deter some people from joining.
It is also very hard to make a good game. Many people work for hours making amazing games and they get no spot on the front page because there are cats all over it. It doesn't matter that the Scratch mascot is a cat, Scratch is about programming, not art. Even though the people making cat animations work hard, there are people that work just as hard and harder. I would appreciate a break in the repetition of cats on the front page.

I'm acctually hearing rumors that long patrol quit and is getting another account. Is she sick of all of the attention she is getting?

oh really? ALL of MY games have takes a MONTH or MORE!! A lot of other people also work hard, the only difference is they have armies of fans and you are part of it. The relation between the scratch cat and maskedstar is HUGE! masked star has like 10 series, but none of them ever get past trailers or episode 1.
