Discuss anything retro here, Including Music, Video Games, Movies, Commercials and also TV Shows from the 1980s! :-)
P.S. I think most TV shows and Commercials were cheaply done during the 1980s. For Example, "Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince" was in a very cheap budget of the recordings using Maxell videotapes as described in the credits of the episodes.

Fleetwood Mac, undeniably the best pop group ever.

A while ago my little sister asked me to pick out an outfit for her to wear, which made me a little excited. It's typically my older sister that's seen as the fashionable one and now it was my time to shine!!
While I was looking through my closet for clothes that'd fit her, I asked, "So, why did you choose to ask me instead of (Our older sister's name)?"
Turns out it was spirit week at her school, and the next day was the one where you were supposed to dress like they did in the 80s e_e. So I guess, unbeknownst to me, I am a follower of 80s fashion
I don't like much music from the 80s though. The Cure, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, New Order. Can't think of any TV shows from the 80s that I like

I watched that when I was younger and nothing else was on the TV but I didn't necessarily like it very much
I thought about it and I like a few films from the decade like Ferris Bueller's Day off and the Breakfast Club and Fast Times At Ridgemont High and Airplane! though. I seem to like shows and films that were set in the 80s rather than things actually filmed then (The Last Days of Disco is my favourite film and Freaks and Geeks is one of my favorite TV series!)

Yeah, I think a main element of most 80's film is its cheesiness. To some, this could be a con, but to others it may be endearing. Also, I really like Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Okay so for music I like The Smiths probably the most from the 80s
I can't really think of video games from the 80s, so uh it looks like Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985 so I guess that wow >_>
For movies I like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies (though it was sort of cheesy), and Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
I don't really know any commercials from the 80s, but I found this: http://www.scratch.mit.edu/ext/youtube/?v=Tk25rk0_2rk
And finally, tv shows. So I watched a lot of 80s shows when I was sick last year like MacGyver, Magnum, P.I., The Cosby Show, Voyagers!, and a little bit of Knight Rider
I watched Diff'rent Strokes when I was younger

Yes, you definitely deserve A medal, or medallion, is strictly speaking a small, flat and round or oval, piece of metal that has been sculpted, molded, cast, struck, stamped, or some way marked with an insignia, portrait, or other artistic rendering

The 80's were just bad. Love the 70's, love the 90's but I just don't like the 80's.
Of course, that's just one man's opinion.
