Yea, it's an acoustic electric, but with an electric guitar style pickup (humbucker, like les paul), and electric guitar style knobs 

It won't sound like a les paul though 
Part of the les paul's sound is actually the wood and thickness of the wood. It will sound pretty awesome no doubt though 

I know this sounds super random, but yesterday I traded my acoustic for a Epi Dot semi hollow electric, due to some annoying buzzing sounds from the pickup when recording, which is what I had bought it for from the start.

It's Sunburst colour, and the bottom e string buzzes a bit, but the pickups sound Awesome, so many different tones come out of them!
